Baxter Arts Centre (BAC) announces their first-ever BACk Yard Sale of all manner of arts supplies at 3 Stanley Street, Bloomfield on Saturday, September 26, 9 a.m. -3 p.m.

This is a fundraiser event for the popular arts centre to kick-start their fall season. Donated (new and gently used) artist supplies include fabric, fibre, visual arts materials & equipment, books and much more. All at low, low prices – aimed to keep you creative and occupied throughout the winter months.

This sale will be held indoors and visitors are required to practice social distancing and the wearing of masks. An on-site Silent Auction will offer pieces of donated artwork from local artists. In addition to this, some local artists will be selling their work in an outdoor pop up art market at the Baxter site.

BAC is collaborating with these artists to add to the fun of the day. It will give the community an opportunity to buy some fine art works. Covid-19 protocols will be in place.

“We look forward to welcoming the community and visitors to the Baxter fund raising day to stock up on art supplies or to buy a beautiful piece of art”, said Gillian Maloney, President of BAC.

The Silent Auction will close at 3:00 p.m. and winners will be notified that day. Baxter Arts Centre provides varied arts programs for residents of Prince Edward County and visitors. We give people of all ages opportunities to be creative and to connect with our region’s vibrant arts community. The fall programme kicks off in October with both classroom and on-line sessions.

The Don Baxter Memorial Building is also available for community groups and individuals to rent for programs and events.
