Bruce Herbert Diamond – Peacefully on January 14th, 2021 in his 93rd year. Bruce was a loving father to his three sons, Robert, Daryl (Beverly), and Richard. Bruce was pre-deceased by his cherished wife Phyllis Eileen Moore (1999), and by his dear partner of 15 years, Helen Beaton (2017). Bruce enjoyed his extended family, his nieces and nephews, Delisa, Luanne, Trevor, Russel, Jim, Maryanne, Elizabeth, Brad, Brett, and Keith, and their families. Bruce will be greatly missed by his family. Bruce was a Belleville Firefighter (1952), and later a Fire Captain (1966), retiring in 1988. Bruce was also a very capable builder. The family home in Belleville and the cottage at East Lake were built by Bruce, his brothers, and friends. Bruce supervised the building of the Carriage House. Bruce (“Luke”) was a remarkable athlete at Belleville Collegiate Institute, especially football, instructing the quarterback on plays, running and catching, and kicking the field goals. Bruce was also a hockey coach, Cub and Scout leader, and “Hi-C” youth club leader. Bruce loved children, and dogs. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite youth organization, or animal shelter. The Celebration of Life will be held, pandemic permitting, on August 29th at the East Lake cottage. Arrangements entrusted to the Bay of Quinte Cremation Services, Belleville.
