Betty Prinzen (Boukje Geertsma)

Born April 11th, 1933 in the Netherlands, Betty passed away peacefully at Brighton Retirement Living on March 12th, 2024 with family by her side. She was in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late William Prinzen for 66 years. Loving mother of Christine & Jack Vanderniet, Bernard & Diane Prinzen, Andy & Grace Prinzen, Bill Prinzen Jr & Sarah Harrison, Derrick (Dick) Prinzen & Sharon Sibthorpe, Jane & Glenn McQuaid, Joanna & Robert Sarley, Julia Moore and Will Hoven; mother-in-law to Bob Moore

Dear sister to Audrey Hummel and brothers-in-law to George Vos and Wybe DeVries. Sister-in-law to Maryanne Geertsma, Hank & Didi Prinzen, Ann Hoven, Mary Tammel and Ben & Margie Prinzen.

Predeceased by Jantje Postma, Martin, Diemer (died @ 4 years of age), Greta DeVries, Diemer II, Hilda Vos and Jake. Loved Oma to 34 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren
and 1 on the way.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4th from 6-8pm at the Ainsworth Funeral Home, 288 Noxon Avenue, Wellington. Following a family interment at Quaker Cemetery in Bloomfield, a Celebration of Life Service will take place on Friday, April 5th @ 1 pm at Ebenezer CRC Trenton, Ontario. Luncheon to follow after the service in the church hall. In Betty’s memory donations can be made to Quinte Region Christian Schools, VON, or the charity of your choice.
