Wolfgang Werner Scherer

age 76, passed away at home in the early hours on Sunday April 14th, 2024.
The son of a master tailor, amateur musician and thespian, he developed a love of music and performance at an early age. He studied electrical engineering at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany but music stole his heart. His professional aspirations led to multiple opportunities in the music industry from owning music stores and instrument repair services, to teaching various music lessons and performing as part of many bands over his lifetime. His keen acoustic sense allowed him to not only arrange his own music for production but that of many others as well. As a true renaissance man, he lived by the ethos to never stop learning. A dreamer to the end, may his songs echo brightly to inspire others to follow their dreams.
He is predeceased by his wife Cornelia “Connie” Scherer, his brothers Dieter and Michael and his half-sister Dorothea. He is survived by his brother Hans Joachim, his six children – Stefan, Sabine, Susanne, Sebastian, Sybille, Svenya and their spouses – as well as his twelve grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Burke, ParaMed nurse Jennifer, Emily, Mike and all the other PSWs and the rest of his care team from across the multiple agencies who worked together to support him in his final days.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time.
Arrangements in the care of the Ainsworth Funeral Home, 288 Noxon Avenue, Wellington. Online condolences at www.ainsworthfuneralhome.com
