The mayor’s decision to run for the provincial Liberals will be very good for Prince Edward County.

I do not think that any mayor has been as connected to Queen’s Park as our mayor. Every time there is a concern he has talked to this minister and that minister and perhaps even the premier. When I ran in the last election it was one of my goals to really connect with Queen’s Park so that they would know Prince Edward County. Mayor Quaiff did that.

I know if you get elected you are supposed to work for the good of the whole but we will have someone at Queen’s Park who will also really look after the county.
