Prince Edward OPP seeking public’s assistance in break-in investigations

Prince Edward County  OPP detachment members attended two separate break and enters on County Rd. 20 (Huyck’s Point Road) and one on Gilead Road  Tuesday to investigate a rash of morning intrusions.

Sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., unknown person(s) gained entry into a residence on Gilead Road and rummaged through items while the victims were home.

Another break-in was reported to have happened sometime between 8-11 a.m. on County Rd. 20.

A third break-in was reported after a report of an alarm being activated at 9:45 a.m. on County Rd. 20. The OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) attended to assist in the investigation.

Police are continuing to investigate into these and other recent break-ins in our community and are seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the Prince Edward County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
