OPP lay sexual assault, stunt driving charges in separate incidents Thursday

Thursday afternoon, Prince Edward OPP officers responded to a Pitt Street home in Picton to investigate a domestic dispute.

As a result of the ensuing investigation, a 25-year-old Picton man was charged with sexual assault, uttering threats, and assault. He will appear in Picton court Jan. 10.

A Tyendinaga teen was charged with stunt driving Thursday morning on County Rd. 49.

Just after 8 a.m. a Prince Edward County OPP officer observed a vehicle traveling in excess of 50 kilometres over the posted speed limit of 80 km per hour.

The driver lost his licence and his vehicle for seven days.
