The municipality issued a news release today advising County Rd. 49’s Skyway Bridge will be closed on Sunday evening for a period of one and a half hours.

The bridge will be closed to traffic Sunday, May 20 from 8:30–10 p.m. as the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte hold a memorial ceremony and fireworks display. The Tyendinaga Police Service and the Prince Edward OPP will be present on both sides of the bridge to stop traffic during the event.

If an emergency arises, the bridge will be opened to allow emergency vehicles to cross in either direction.
