The Children's Foundation special events co-ordinator Kate Anderson is encouraging the public to take part in the third annual Cruise for Kids on July 5. There will be both an afternoon and dinner cruise aboard the Island Queen. The afternoon cruise takes place from 1–4 p.m. and includes sightseeing and appetizers at a cost of $50 per ticket. Later, a riverboat fantasy dinner cruise runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. That includes a three-course dinner for 150 people. Tickets are $150 and there is a cash bar available. Proceeds support The Children's Foundation's programming.
