They say that memories are golden, and maybe that is true.
But we never wanted memories, we only wanted you.
How terribly we miss you how many times we cried.
If love alone could have saved you you never would have died.
In tears we saw you sinking, we watched you fade away,
Our hearts were almost broken, you fought so hard to stay.
Your golden heart stopped beating, your gentle hands at rest.
God broke our hearts, to prove to us, He only takes the best.
But when we saw you sleeping, at peace and free from pain,
We could not wish you back with us to suffer that again.
Always loved and missed husband Raymond, son Michael and daughter in law Julia, grand-daughters Alisha and Lauren and cats.
