It has now been a decade-and-a-half that the Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors Association has printed a directory to help make connections to local resources.

This year’s 104-page Information For Seniors Directory was recently released and it can be picked up at the association’s office at 74A King Street. Publishing for the directory has been made possible by funding from the Retired Teachers of Ontario Federation (RTO).

Executive director Debbie MacDonald Moynes says the publication has become a sought after product for seniors and their caregivers over the years.

“New editions of the directory have always been welcomed by the seniors in this community because they find it to be such a handy reference for all kinds of services.”

Board chair Margaret Werkhoven, also a member of the RTO says the updated directory was the final product of the successful Social Isolation Project carried out by Community Care with funding from the RTO. She said the project demonstrated very clearly how two different community groups with similar objectives can achieve much more in partnership than they could on their own.
