Marjorie Eileene Pearce (nee Tubbs)
We are saddened to announce the passing of our mother Marjorie on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in her 98th year. Predeceased by her husbands Bert Grindrod (1944) and Joseph Pearce (2002) and by her daughter Margaret Wilson (2008). Lovingly remembered by her children James Grindrod (Joan); Anne Clapp (late Bob); Cathy Wilson (Kim) and Tish Pearce (Rob Heartwell). Nanny to her 10 grandchildren Matt, Ben, James, and Jane Clapp; Robbie, Laura, and Mark Wilson; Jeff and Joey Heartwell; Paul Wilson and great-grandchildren Mara, Kinsley and Graydon Clapp; Claire and Norah Clapp and Ben Kraft. We were so fortunate to have two very special friends, lovingly caring for our mom, Judy Botting and Gerrie Story-Plaizier. Mom had a life well lived and full of love. She touched the lives of many people through her involvement in the church and curling club in Napanee and her working life as president/owner of Quinte Cablevision in Picton. A curling skip, a pet lover, an extraordinary cook, gardener, a Habs and Blue Jays fan, she had many interests and talents. We were so blessed to have her leave us with such wonderful gifts to carry through our lives. A service with burial at Glenwood Cemetery in Picton for family was held on Saturday, January 5. The family invited friends for a reception following at Mom’s home in Napanee from 3-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations if desired, please make payable to the Ontario SPCA Lennox and Addington Branch.
