Derek John Bartle
Derek died in the presence of his family on December 27th, 2018 at H.J.McFarland Memorial Home, Picton, aged 84. Formally of Wellington, Lake-on-the-Mountain, Toronto, and Solihull England. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Greenhill), and loving father of Vania Higgs and her husband Mark of Wellington and Gramps to Becky Toro Perez, her husband Hector, Simon Higgs and his wife Hilary. Prior to retirement, an accomplished and respected engineer with Canatom Nuclear Power company. A Celebration of his life was held on Saturday January 5th at Wellington-on-the-Lake recreation centre at 1 pm. If desired, donations to ‘Agape in Action’ would be appreciated by the family. The family wish to thank the staff at the H.J. McFarland Memorial Home for the outstanding care and especially the skills of Dr Nancekievill and nursing staff in pain and symptom control.
