The Management Board of the Picton Town Hall is asking for input from anyone who has booked Picton Town Hall in the past and/or intends to continue to do so in the future.

Representatives from all user groups past and present, are invited to a meeting at the Picton Town Hall Monday, September 16 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

The community vision remains that Picton Town Hall flourishes as a Hall for All, and serves as a community foothold in the vibrant Picton downtown core,” Elis Ziegler, Chairperson on the board of Management of the Picton Town Hall said.

This meeting’s purpose is to discuss exciting new initiatives such as the possibility of online booking and the development of a sustainable booking rate structure.

The Municipality is assisting with the outreach efforts and Ziegler and fellow board advisory group members want to make sure no one is missed.

We have a lot of work to do over the next 18 months,” said Ziegler. “We look forward to engaging with the current users and the community as a whole to fill the hall with events, clubs, programs and activities, and even a farmer’s market.”

The Picton Town Hall is owned by the County of Prince Edward and will be governed by the Board of Management with the ultimate goal of full site sustainability on behalf of the community going forward.
