Questions arising in relation to acts of anti-semitism

Thank you for your editorial on Talia Epstein’s experiences with antisemitism at PECI.

I’m sorry you didn’t see your way to publishing her article – you say it wouldn’t have done for a family newspaper, but this is a topic every family should discuss.

If readers in the safety of their homes would be shocked by what was said and done to Talia at school, what must it have been like for her, alone and surrounded by dozens of ignorant and spiteful bullies?

Is it their parents who have filled her classmates’ heads with this vicious nonsense, or the Internet, or what?

Why would pride in your County roots make you feel entitled to despise and torment people new to the place, instead of being pleased to welcome them?

Perhaps the school administration has some answers?
