Anna-Lisa Carney Prinzen)
September 23,1963 – March 17, 2020
Surrounded by her loved ones Anna-Lisa went to be with her Lord and Saviour peacefully on the spring morning of March 17th, 2020. Adored daughter of Ben & Marg Prinzen (formerly Rabbie) and daughter-in-law Catherine (Kay) and the late Jack Carney. Anna will be truly missed by her two younger sisters, Sue (Paul Wilson) and Patricia (Dwayne Hudgin). Beloved wife and best friend to her dedicated husband, John of 36 years. John will truly miss spending every day with her. Dearest mother of, Josh (Sam), Jessica (Ben), Jo-Anna (Isaac), Jocelyn (Mark), and cherished Oma to her grandchildren, Lilliannah, Margaret, Davanee, Gwyneth, Henry, Elias, & Miriam. She considered it pure joy to serve her family, community and church. Moeder/Oma’s love language usually involved baking with lots of butter and sugar! Her grandchildren’s fondest memories are of baking cookies at Oma’s and drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows. Her apple pie and crepes are timeless family favourites. Anna-Lisa tirelessly served on the Sonrise Christian Academy and Quinte Christian school boards for many years. At church she was known to her Awana kids as Mrs. Carney. She loved teaching little ones to grow to love the Lord. Her hospitality, love for God, and Christ-like service in all she did will be remembered by all. The family would like to extend their thanks to the hospital staff at Kingston General Hospital, nurses, PSWs, Social Worker, Clare, and the many doctors who’s genuine concern and compassionate care was greatly appreciated. Furthermore, we want to express our deepest thanks to Heather Campbell who made the transition from hospital to home flawless and provided around the clock support and comfort for Mom and our family during her final days. Due to the current COVID-19 outbreak we will refrain from having a visitation and the funeral will be limited to only immediate family. We will be streaming the funeral online for anyone who would like to attend remotely from the safety and comfort of their homes. If you wish to join in Mom’s celebration of life follow the link provided below on Tuesday, March 24th at 11am. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgWxnYzRDBuwPwLIOVSXoug/?fbclid=IwAR0JU7hxMuqYqvQo_YkaHdyaeRNt38_efQZmjLCHTyb0uKaAarJEhB5K09w
In lieu of flowers the family’s wishes are that donations would be made to Sonrise Christian Academy in Picton, Ontario or to the Hospice Prince Edward Foundation.
