John’s life was taken abruptly on January 17, 2021 in a tragic snow mobile accident. He was dearly loved and cherished by his wife Tina Whitteker, daughters Jennifer Lamarche (Andre), Victoria Romanyszyn (Jake Barclay), and Lisa Romanyszyn and grandchildren Blake and Aila Lamarche.  He will also be truly missed by his in-laws Carla Tourigny (Fred), brother-in-laws Chuck Nelson (Heather) and Rick Nelson (Val) and nieces and nephews and other family and friends too numerous to mention. John was also so loved and will be sadly missed by his thoughtful and generous mother Pierrette Whitteker (late father Sheldon) and Carl Sedore and family, and sister Cindy (Tom) and nieces Taylor and Maddison and Uncle Paul. Even though John’s mother lived a distance away the bond and love was like no other between John and his mom. Also John will be sadly missed by their closest friends in John’s hometown of Picton: Melody, Jim Young, families of Bill and Furn Stone, Walter and Margerie Dreschler, Don and Pat Stanton Sr, Ken and Wanda O’Neil, Dulmage, Sheila Parks, Mary Tammel. He lived his life to the fullest and brought so much joy to so many lives.  His family and friends share many great memories with John, on the lake, fishing, boating, hunting, snowmobiling, skiing, playing cards and so much more. His kindness, intelligence, generosity, humour, and love will be immensely missed by all who were lucky to have known him and his heart of gold will never be forgotten.  John will continue to guide and help us now as an Angel up in heaven as he did on earth. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no service. According to John’s wishes, cremation has taken place and memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Eye Institute, or the Children’s Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted with Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd. Online condolences can be posted at www.RangersSudbury.com
