KING, Gerry

Gerry King
Gerry, was the love of my life. Born in 1928 in Newfoundland. He passed on October 26, 2020. Margaret was Gerry’s first wife, and they married in Toronto. They had 6 children and in 1982, Margret was hit by a truck and passed. Gerry was a furrier for many years, and an avid Christian. Gerry and I were married for a little over 35 years, and we met when volunteering at a crusade in Toronto. We loved our vacations in Prince Edward County so much that we decided to move there. And that’s when we started Honey’s Bed & Breakfast in Bloomfield. Between us we had 10 children and 20 grandchildren. Gerry was known for his kindness, caring, humility and his love for the Lord. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and playing games. He loves his family and had a special relationship with his daughter Linda and his granddaughter Maggie. Church was very important to Gerry and I, we attended Emmanuel Baptist in Bloomfield where he was a Deacon and an Elder. And for many years, he volunteered at the New Life Girls Home. Gerry had 2 sisters, Gwen and June and two brothers Ron and Grant. A memorial service will be held at a later date, cremation has already taken place. Burial will be at the West Lake Church Cemetery, in Prince Edward County. A special thanks to our dear friends for their support at this time. I am living at Glen Hill Strathaven, in Bowmanville. The address is 264 King St E. Postal code – L1C 1P9. Phone calls will be welcomed by Honey and can be reached at 1-(365)-688-5232.
