A retired teacher in Prince Edward County, Berna enjoyed all social activities, especially those with the South Bay Boating Club, the County Whirlers (square dancing) and PE Yacht Club. At Wellings of Picton, where she lived since 2016, Berna helped to organize the library and the bingo games.
