One of Prince Edward County’s most popular home grown acts are collaborating with the County of Prince Edward and its Museums group to present live music on Saturday.

The County Museums in partnership with Instant Rivalry present Instant Rivalry live at Macaulay Heritage Park Saturday September 25th for two live outdoor performances. After nearly a year, Instant Rivalry’s Megan and Caleb Hutton are back with a one-of-a-kind music experience in Prince Edward County.

Partnering with The County Museums, Instant Rivalry will perform two intimate shows on the front lawn of Macaulay House. Patrons can attend a matinee performance at 2 p.m., or an evening performance at 7 p.m. with regular admission and VIP admission available. All tickets must be purchased in advance to reserve a seat. VIP Tickets will include parking on site, premium seating and a meet and greet with Instant Rivalry following the show.

Codie Goodman, Virtual and Outdoor Programming Assistant for The County Museums knew right away she wanted to reach out to Instant Rivalry upon her return to The County Museums this summer. Codie has known Megan and Caleb for nearly a decade now and has always considered the two to be role models and mentors.

“With this concert they continue to teach me new things, and are working with the community in mind by supporting Macaulay Heritage Park and the County Museums for a very special day of concerts,” Goodman said. “It’s so wonderful to have live music coming back to Prince Edward County.”

The concert is meant to support The County Museums and is part of their 2021 line-up of virtual and outdoor programs. All concert goers will need to bring a mask and a chair or blanket of their choosing. Snacks and refreshments will be available on site. It has been nearly a year since the award-winning brother-sister duo graced the stage publicly together after a long successful string of live streaming and specialized online programming.

“It’s nice to be able to perform in public again and to support a great cause,” Caleb said. Instant Rivalry will reprise songs from their album Whiskey and Lead along with new and old favourites. “This event is going to mix the beauty of Macaulay with an intimate show. It’s the perfect way to come back to providing music to the community,” Megan said.
