Prince Edward County residents are invited to register and attend a housing discussion next Wednesday.
The Prince Edward Learning Centre is hosting a free, public event next week to discuss affordable and attainable housing in the community.
Anyone interested in discussing the current housing crisis in Prince Edward County is invited to register for the event, which will take place at Picton’s Benson Park Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 4 to 5 p.m.
Hale Ferguson, Youth Community Action Project Facilitator, says the event is for County residents to share housing experiences, challenges or opportunities.
“We are facilitating this event to foster open conversation and allow for residents to discuss challenges and ideas around housing in the community,” Ferguson said.
The centre will be using the information collected from the event to continue conversation on local housing.
To register, please contact Hale at 613-476-1811 ext. 106 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. They also invite those who would like to share experiences and ideas privately to reach out.
Prior to next week’s event, anyone who would like to learn more information can reach out via the Attainable Housing PEC Facebook group or using the contact information above.
In case of inclement weather, the event’s rain date will be Thursday, Oct. 28 from 4 to 5 p.m.
