Lloyd George Hawker passed away in Picton on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at the age of 83. Born in Picton, Lloyd’s education included Prince Edward Collegiate Institute and supplemented school days with a fierce passion for hockey and baseball. He returned to school at age 27 and graduated from Queen’s University with a Master’s degree. Lloyd had a number of careers beginning with the cement plant in Picton. He worked 30 years with the Ministry of Community and Social Services in Toronto, retiring to his family home on Jane Street. Lloyd was active in a number of volunteer efforts which included the Kiwanis Club, Picton, board member of the Prince Edward County Fair, board member of Glenwood Cemetery and others. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 38 years Rosanna, brother Paul (Diann deceased), daughter Karen (Steve McDougall), grandchildren Sherry Lynn and James and nephew Jay Hawker (Carley). Lloyd enjoyed playing a number of sports. He travelled to many continents with Rosanna and shared fun with family and friends.
