Peacefully entered into rest at Westgate Lodge Long Term Care Facility, Belleville on Monday, December 20, 2021, Florence Wickett (nee Hegadorn) formerly of Eden Place, Belleville and Picton died at the age of 105. She was the daughter of the late Elvin & Amanda Hegadorn (nee Steenburgh) and wife of the late Gordon Wickett. Florence was the loving mother of Elvin (Holly), and Gary all of Belleville, Sharon Wickett of Picton and predeceased by her daughters Iona Williams (late Gerald) and Carol Gannon (surviving Alfred). She was the dearest grandmother of Gail, late Ricky, Randy, Rhonda, Sherry, Sharon, Michael, Gary, Kevin, Danny, Melissa, Lori, Lynn, Alana, Nichole, Erin, Spring and Melody and great grandmother of Ashley, Demi, Tori, Chad, Richard, Kyra, Blaine, Keri, Jenna, Janessa, Eric, Gordon Lee, Chelsea, Morgan, Jonathon, Caileigh, Mitchell, Daniel, Elin, Emerson, Hazel, Brett, and Patrick and to her many great great grandchildren. Florence is predeceased by her sister Irene Hegadorn, and her brothers Orville Hegadorn and Harold Hegadorn and will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. She will always be remembered by her “sister” Elva Haggerty of Picton. Mrs. Wickett is resting at the Rushnell Funeral Home – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street West, Picton (613-476-2450). Visitation will be held from the Prince Edward Free Methodist Church, Picton on Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 11 am – 1 pm with Funeral Service to follow at 1 pm. Spring Interment Cherry Valley Cemetery. If desired, donations to Prince Edward Free Methodist Church would be appreciated by the family.
