Prince Edward OPP respond to motor vehicle collisions.

Members of the Prince Edward OPP responded to a pair of motor vehicle collisions this week.

On Tuesday April 5, 2022 shortly before 1:00 p.m.,  members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County Detachment responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on County Road 14 in Sophiasburgh Ward.

Officers responded alongside Hastings and Quinte Paramedic Service to a single vehicle. A truck loaded with fish travelled a distance off the roadway before coming to a stop in the trees. The 54 year old driver from Windsor was not injured and was charged with fail to drive in marked lane.

The roadway was closed for a period of time while the vehicle was removed.

On Wednesday April 6, 2022 shortly after 4:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on County Road 3 in Ameliasburgh Ward. Officers responded alongside Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services to a car that had gone off the roadway.

Two individuals were in the vehicle and one was transported to hospital with minor injuries. The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
