A driver involved in a single motor vehicle crash near the corner of Ridge and Shannon road Thursday night some time around 10:30 p.m. was transported to Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital after being extracted from underneath the vehicle.

According to reports, Prince Edward OPP and first responders reported the the scene to find the male party had been thrown from the vehicle and was pinned underneath it due to the crash.

OPP Community Services Officer Constable Aaron Miller confirmed the driver suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

The investigation into the crash is continuing.
