Entered into rest at the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital, Napanee on Sunday, May 1, 2022, Ed Kennelly of Napanee, formerly of Greenbush died at the age of 86. He was the son of the late Timothy & Nora Kennelly (nee Keegan). Ed was the loved brother of Mary of Belleville, Nora (late Alex Mann) of East Lake, Katherine (late Robert Marcil) of Toronto, late Joseph, late Margaret and late Anne (Ed Teefy). He was the dear uncle of nine and great-uncle of twenty. Ed was born on October 30, 1935, in Greenbush and attended SS #8, North Marysburgh, and then Picton High School. He was a farmer in the County for 70+ years, an active member in the Knights of Columbus, an avid card player, a regular sales barn attendee, a dessert aficionado, and always up for a good laugh. The family wishes to extend their most sincere thanks for the kindness and compassion shown to Ed by Tony & Agnes Evans, the Staff at the Riverine Retirement Residence, and the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital. Mr. Kennelly rested at the Rushnell Funeral Home – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street, Picton (613-476-2450) for visitation on Friday from 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Father George Okoye in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Picton on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. Rite of Committal with Prayers in the family plot at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Picton.
