HEDGER, Maureen 
With her journey through life completed, Maureen has gone to be with her Lord. Maureen Hedger (Duncan) passed peacefully at her home in Wellington surrounded by family on August 20, 2022. Survived by her sister Sheila Hambleton of Toronto, loving children Rob (Lisa), Sherry, and granddaughter Ashley. Predeceased by her husband Doug, sister Winifred Duncan of Scotland and Bill Hedger of Toronto. A kind and gentle soul, Maureen will be fondly remembered by extended family and friends in the community. Maureen came to Canada from Scotland with her older sister Sheila when she was 6 years old, among the first children from the British Isles to arrive in Canada as war guests. They lived in Port Stanley with relatives for the remainder of WW2 before returning to Scotland. As a young woman Maureen would return to Canada, enjoying her career in hairdressing in the Quinte area for many years. A family graveside service to be held at a future date.
