SHORTT, Kenneth Clayton

Calgary, Alberta   Kenneth (Ken) Clayton Shortt passed away on Tuesday August 16, 2022 in the Bow View Manor at the age of 88. Ken is survived by his sons Neil (Cheryl) and Mack (Tricia), three granddaughters (Maggie, Amelia and Chloe) and one grandson (Ethan). Ken is also survived by two brothers Mack Shortt and Ron Shortt both of Picton. Ken was predeceased by his loving wife Margaret Katherine Scott and his siblings June, Mary, Frank and Doug. Ken moved out west at a young age where he remained for many years, but returned to the County after his retirement, with Marg and his two sons. He then worked for MDS labs for 13 years until his full retirement in 1998. He then moved back out west permanently to be near Neil and Mack and their families. Ken requested that no funeral be held in his honour. Instead immediate family members have joined together to lay him beside his beloved Margaret at the Mountain View Cemetery in Calgary Alberta. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are encouraged to donate to the Salvation Army.
