Consecon was the place to be Saturday as Porchfest hit the streets and surrounding areas of the village for the  second annual musical event.

With 37 different acts and over 75 musicians spread throughout Consecon there was a little something for everyone to enjoy.

Organizer Tim Acker, also musician and resident of Consecon, spoke with The Gazette and said the turn out seemed better then last year.

“Turn out seemed better than last year which was the first year,” Acker stated. “There were decent sized groups of listeners around each porch, all day. No ideas on actual numbers but maybe 1,00 – 2,000 all day possibly.”

Porchfest was created to give a safe opportunity to local musicians to perform after an extended shutdown due to COVID, and also to draw attention to one of the far sides of The County.

“Consecon Porchfest is special, like Consecon Day in August,  an event that is unique to us and helps us stand out,” expressed Acker. “Residents are proud and enthused that our little village can have many things to celebrate, including our music.”
