Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Belleville General Hospital on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the age of 83. Doug will be forever missed by his devoted wife Penny (Austin) of almost 62 years. Cherished father of Jacky Hudson (Mark) and Dave. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Ashley (Ryan), Tyler (Dana) and Dakota as well as his new great grandson Nathan. Beloved brother of Lolly (Karen), Ellen (Walter), Linda and Lois as well as his step siblings Sandy, Debbie, Steve and Norm. Doug will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents George and Alice Wilkinson, step-father Sam Pengelly and siblings Ron, John and Kay Smith (late Jim). Doug was well known as a story teller and for his gift of gab. He has a very special relationship with his older brother Lolly and his wife Karen. They thoroughly enjoyed going to the casino, special dinners out and several cruises. Doug was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He loved to play baseball and hockey and always rooted for the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Long time member of T.N.O.B, Brampton. His presence will be forever missed.  As per Doug’s wishes cremation has been performed and there will be no visitation or funeral. He will be laid to rest in the Muskoka area at a later date. Memorial donations made in Doug’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
