ROC’s annual Empty Bowls fundraiser slated for June 8

On Thursday, June 8th , The ROC will host its annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser with all proceeds supporting programs and services for Prince Edward County youth.

Thanks to the generosity of numerous restaurants and local sponsors, community members can purchase a ticket to receive a delicious soup, fresh bread and a tasty dessert. All of this is served alongside a beautiful stoneware handmade bowl donated by Dawn Middleton of The Ye11ow Studio.

“The ROC spends a significant amount of time each year seeking financial support through grants and various funding bodies. The Empty Bowls event has become our primary fundraiser, relying on  the generosity of community restaurants, ticket holders and sponsors. We are sincerely grateful to everyone involved for believing in the youth of PEC,” said the ROC’s Administrator and Communications Officer Hilary Fennell.

The ROC is in its 23rd year delivering vital and impactful services for youth including mentoring, counselling, academic support, and basic needs. There are no costs to youth or their families.
