Take time this Earth Day to appreciate all that the natural world has to offer.
Enjoy a farm lane walk through the woods and wetland , ,purchase some trees or plants and enjoy some home baking. Browse the many items in the big Yard sale, and maybe take home a previously loved antique or book, a toy , a piece of furniture, or even a canoe or row boat. !.
. Support the County Sustainability Group compost and rain barrel sale. Climb through the huge bottom component of Turbine Nine , all that remains of the only wind farm in the world to ever be built and immediately torn down again ( White Pines Wind Farm) , view the Field Of Hope , a 3000 tree plantation partly sponsored by the 50 Million Tree program and get a look at the most recent farm in the County to be protected by the Ontario Farm Land Trust.
Just stop and take the time to simply be .
