It is with love and gratitude that we celebrate the life of Arne Corsen, who passed away at the age of 82, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, perseverance, and love. Born in Weintdorf, Germany, Arne’s life journey spanned continents and experiences, shaped by hard work, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the world around him. Arne built a distinguished career in the steel industry, serving as President of a company specializing in nickel and alloy fittings for petrochemical firms worldwide. His professional achievements reflected his ingenuity and determination. Beyond his work, Arne was a lifelong creator—an artist who found joy in shaping metal into art through welding, and a craftsman who always had a project underway at home. A lover of books, good conversation, and time shared with family and friends, Arne valued connection and curiosity above all. In his retirement years, he found peace on his beautiful property in the County, where each sunset became a quiet celebration of a life well-lived—often enjoyed with a fine glass of wine or a favorite cocktail in hand. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Jane Massey, and fondly remembers his late first wife, Pamela Corsen, with whom he shared many cherished years. Arne will be deeply missed by his children, Anthony Corsen (Caitlin Fear) and Dana Corsen (Alain Thibault); and by his grandchildren, Chloe, Sophie, and Stella. Arne often reminded his family to “think positive, and when faced with adversity, remember a past challenge you’ve overcome—because you’ll get through this one too.” His words and example remain a lasting source of strength and hope. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society in Arne’s memory. Arrangements entrusted to Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450).
