It is with profound sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Cheryle Ann Hansen on June 23, 2026, at the age of 62.
Born on August 21, 1963, in Brampton, Ontario, Cheryle was the beloved daughter of Joan Hansen and the late Jack Hansen.
She will be lovingly remembered by her life partner, Roderick Samuel, her daughter, Lexington Samuel, her cherished granddaughter, Cooper, her mother, Joan Hansen, her siblings, Mike (Kelly Okamura) and Michelle (Paul Bailey), her extended Samuel family, as well as her niece, nephews, relatives, dear friends, and colleagues. Cheryle was predeceased by her father, Jack Hansen, and her son, Cole Samuel.
Cheryle devoted her professional life to theatre for young audiences. Throughout her distinguished career, she was a respected advocate for the performing arts, connecting artists, presenters, and communities internationally. Her passion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment enriched the lives of countless children and families and earned the admiration of colleagues throughout the arts community.
A private family interment will take place at a later date.
The family extends its sincere appreciation for the many expressions of love and support received during this difficult time.
