Our big brother passed away on Thursday, June 25th, 2026 at the age of 79. Don was born in Kingston, ON and grew up in Montreal West, Quebec. After high school he worked for CP as a train steward then attended The Career Academy in Toronto in the Radio Broadcasting program. Don spent the next several years in Bathurst, New Brunswick working for the CBC He returned to Picton, ON for a short interim prior to moving to Port Hope where he lived for the remainder of his life. Some of his favourite hobbies included playing bridge and golf and watching all sports on tv especially his favourite team, The Montreal Canadiens.He also loved his Guiness at The Beamish House! Don was predeceased by his parents Bill and Mardie Small and leaves behind his sisters Mary Ann Saunders, Nancy Turnau, Shelley McFarland and their families. As per Dons wishes there will not be a formal service.
