Entered into rest at Hospice Prince Edward after a brief illness and a tough fought battle. Liz passed away at the age of 85 after receiving excellent care at Hospice, Hospital at Home (Brad), and Prince Edward County Family Health Team. Liz was married to Terry who predeceased her after 53 years of marriage. She will be remembered by her 4 brothers Tony, David, Jeremy, and Geoffrey and her sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews, her sister friends Linda and Jeanne, and many dear cherished friends. Liz loved travelling the world with Terry, but it was the time after retirement she enjoyed the most. Volunteering at the Community Care Thrift Shop, Hospital Auxiliary and the Foodbank was a passion. Her retirement years included chumming with the curling crew, taking on multiple crafts at The Baxter Centre, lunching with the ladies, gathering up friends for a social outing, and jumping right into The Wellings where she enjoyed the table mates, many resident friendships & co-founder of the Cock-a-doodle-doo Coffee Club. Liz has so many friends left behind with many memories to cherish. Her sense of humour, wit and no bs personality was cherished. Her compassion and love for those she cared about was remarkable. She was a unique individual whom we will miss dearly. Liz rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450). As per Liz’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
