It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Patricia Maureen Staniek (06 January 1949 – 18 October 2026) after an illness. Loving and devoted wife of Steve, proud mother of Mitch (Ally) absolutely beaming grandmother of Grace. Pat, as she was known to all had a deep love for her family both in Ontario and British Columbia, her friends and her community. Pat’s warm acceptance and gentle demeanour will be missed dearly.
A Celebration of Pat’s life will be held at The Port House (2020 Lakeshore Rd., Burlington, ON L7R 4G8) on 08 November 2026 at 1:00pm with refreshments provided.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to the County of Prince Edward Public Library. Pat was a lifelong reader who found great joy in her local library – being able to pass on that joy to other readers would be a beautiful legacy.
