Suddenly entered into rest at the Belleville General Hospital, on Sunday, August 17, 2025.  Roly Istead of Bloomfield died at the age of 92. Son of the late Morley and Vera Istead (nee Kleinsteuber) and beloved husband for 72 years to the late Pat (nee Leavitt). Loved father of the late Alan (surviving Joanne) of Hillier, Karen of Bancroft, Gayle of Cherry Valley, Gary (Cathy) of Moira, Sandra (Steve), Wayne (Laurie) all of Picton, Valerie (Steve) of Belleville, Peter (Sandra) of Ottawa, and Mark of Bloomfield. Fondly remembered by his 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Survived by his sister Oralee Fagan (Terry) of Smiths Falls and predeceased by his sisters Pat Kingsley and Rosemarie Leavitt. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.  A Graveside Service by friends and family will be held at Cherry Valley Cemetery on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11 am followed by A Memorial Gathering at Roly’s Home, 1614 County Road 1, Bloomfield. If desired, donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Stroke Unit at Belleville General Hospital would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450).  Online condolences at: www.rushnellfuneralhomes
