Susan Watt

Susan Watt, 61, of Toronto ON, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday July 10, 2025 following an epileptic seizure. Sue’s career was dedicated to early childhood education. As a daycare professional, instructor for several Early Childhood Assistant programs, and founder of Kinder Minds Education, she impacted thousands of children – those she worked with personally, but also the many ECA instructors she taught. She made learning a joyful experience. Friends and family will remember her keen sense of fun, abiding generosity, and thoughtfulness. Conversations with Sue often began with “Hey, do you want to hear a joke?” At family get-togethers and cottage times, Sue invariably turned up with bags crammed full of games, art supplies, and other fun stuff for family members young and old. Sue will be deeply missed by her dear friends, her loving parents, and her large family of five siblings, their partners, children and grandchildren. Sue was a brilliant aunt – creative, playful, and deeply caring. She had a particular talent for choosing the very best children’s books, always just right for the child receiving them. Our shelves are lined with stories she gifted, each one bearing a personalized note. Her love lives on in those pages and inscriptions. Sue even wrote a children’s story about her nieces and nephews as animals, called “Taryn the Friendly Turtle” which was about friendship, adventure, caring and kindness. Sue got to know and enjoy the Milford community during her many visits to her father, Bill Watt. She would take over the kitchen and stock his freezer with her homemade meals. Her pets Cozy and Jubilee equally loved these visits, birdwatching from the chair Sue placed by the window. Sue brightened the lives of all who knew her and she leaves a legacy of compassion, joy, and love.
