On Friday morning a plate glass window adjoining the east door of the G. E. Fraser Sons store was shattered by a Holstein bull which was being taken to the local station for shipment. He had given considerable trouble on the way in from the farm at Fish Lake of the Owner Bismark Roblin, and had tried to break away several times. There were no cars parked in front of the Fraser store and the bull seeing the open door, made a dash for it. On the way in, his horns hit the window a glancing blow shattering it badly.

Once inside the store the bull was inclined to be peaceful and turning to the left went in behind the front counter and lay down. It was with great difficulty that he was moved from his resting place. His being led with a short piece of chain was one of the reasons he was able to break away from his driver.

SIGN BOARD POINTS TOURISTS TO BEAUTY
Board Of Trade Encourages Publicity To Attract Tourists To County

A very fine piece of publicity has just been carried out under local Board of Trade auspices in the placing of a large sign-board on the Provincial highway detour which passes through Carrying Place and Canal en route from Brighton to Trenton. The board is of sturdy construction 10 feet by 20 feet in size, the surface being of sheet metal.

It has a large size map of this county skilfully executed by Mr. Doug Wark who had charge of the construction. Lettering is as follows:

“For Beautiful
Scenic Views
The Marvellous Lake
On The Mountain and
Famous Sand Banks
Follow The Red Line

The red line mentioned above denotes the good road from Trenton to Picton via Consecon, Hillier and Wellington, and continues easterly to the Glenora Ferry and thence to Kingston. Thus is outlined for the tourist a drive through a very fine section of country.
