Residents and motorists on Picton’s eastern fringe can look forward to more dirt, dust and delay as more road construction gets underway later this summer.
Phase 3 of Picton’s Main Street rehabilitation project gets underway in August. Approved by County Council in 2024, Phase 3 takes place between 454 County Road 49 and Folkard Lane. The project includes replacement of sanitary sewers, water mains and storm sewers, along with new roadway as well as installation of new curbs, sidewalk and street lighting.
The County will host a public information centre about this third phase of the Picton Main Street reconstruction project on Tuesday, July 15 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Prince Edward Community Centre.
County staff will present and review the detailed designs for the project. Information about the potential impact of the construction is available. Residents can provide input to staff regarding the project.
