There was another violent stabbing in Picton Saturday, the second in just over a week.
On November 1 at 2:15 a.m., Prince Edward OPP responded to a call to a local residence involving an assault with a weapon.
Officers arrived to find three victims with non-life-threatening injuries. Another reported they were threatened with a knife. Officers recovered a weapon at the scene, and two men were arrested.
Phoenix Draper, 23, and Cameron Bush, 24, both of Belleville, are charged with Assault with a Weapon and Assault causing Bodily Harm.
Mr. Draper has also been charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and failure to comply with probation order.
The accused remain in custody. They were scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on Wednesday 5 November.
On Friday, October 25, two Embrun, Ontario men were charged in a stabbing in the Circle K Convenience Store parking lot that left a Picton man in Kingston General Hospital.
Zachary Larrivee, 20, and Gavin Lafrance, 19, were granted bail in Belleville Consolidated Court last week and are due back in Picton’s Superior Court December 3 to answer to a number of weapon and assualt charges. Mr. Larrivee has also been charged with attempted murder.
